Burton Pop Art

FAQ

The questions people ask most. Still stuck? Reach out on the contact page.

Who is Jeremy Burton?

I'm a U.S. Navy veteran and the artist behind Burton Pop Art. I joined at 18 and served nearly 17 years, drove submarines, did two tours in Iraq, and deployed 13 times across 22 countries. After I got out, art is what put me back together, and now it's my full-time work.

What kind of art do you make?

Satirical pop art about patriotism, power, and the cost of military service. Some of it is funny, some of it is heavy, and a lot of it points at things we'd rather not look at, like veteran homelessness and the bill that comes due after a deployment ends. I work in the lineage of Warhol, Banksy, and Shepard Fairey.

Are these original paintings or prints?

Everything in the shop is an original, hand-made and hand-painted. I don't sell paper prints. The larger pieces are one of a kind or part of a small numbered series, and the smaller canvases are originals too, just at a more accessible size.

What is the art made of?

Multi-layer stencils and airbrush on canvas, gallery wrapped, finished with a gloss or matte varnish. Sizes run from small 12 by 16 canvases up to 24 by 30 originals.

How much does it cost?

There's a range, so there's a way in at most budgets. Mini canvases start at $50, small 12 by 16 canvases are $80, and original paintings run $275 to $600. Shirts and stickers are on the way.

Do pieces come with a certificate of authenticity?

Yes. Every piece 20 by 20 inches and larger ships with a certificate of authenticity.

Do you take commissions?

I do. If you've got something in mind, tell me what you're picturing through the contact page and we'll build it together.

How do I buy a piece?
